I’ve been so caught up in my work
I haven’t had time for you
Trying to make life as an Author possible
So I can spend my life with you
Knowing that the bus route to my old job
Takes a toll on me
Working for a hotel now
None of this was meant for me
You keep your hair and nails done
None of that is because of me
You don’t point out shit like that
But that shit bothers me
Why would you want to be with a writer
Money isn’t guaranteed
I look at you with heart eyes
But hold my head down, when you really need
