When Death Calls Me: Micro Poetry Collection

Poem # 1

Before these trials
I never overthought
Lately,
I’ve been dodging murders.

People I used to associate with
All became felons
Youngsters turned murderers
I’m scared…I might get tested

~ Don’t Wanna Be A Killer

Poem # 2

We were supposed to meet up and fight
He killed someone else.
Made the news in Arizona
I believed…I was that untouchable.

I didn’t believe him
When he said he “had something for me.”
I was ready to call his bluff
When I told my little brothers, to roll with me

I could’ve gotten us all killed
Not knowing…he wasn’t bluffing

~ I’m Not A Real Leader

Poem # 3

I told him not to talk to the police
He gave the courts a statement.
He asked me how I beat both of my cases
I told him they had to catch me…

~ The Police Really Don’t Be Knowing Nothing
