(Poem)I’m Not A Poet

Girl on my neck, but it’s in tattoos
Social media writer, not enough competition, for me to lose
I’m not a poet, I be in my thoughts
Lustful ways, things my ex and my mother taught
It’s ok to meet up without flowers
The last girl I fucked, I couldn’t cum, so we had sex for hours

I’m not a poet, I be in my thoughts.

Love on my arm, but it’s in tattoos
I was 19, I didn’t know what to do
I got my first piece of ink, and pissed off her dude
She made him piece me up, everything was free
He marked up my body, and I slept with his ex
Seperated the two, but I didn’t use a comma
She grabbed every bit of me, but I never grabbed a condom
Linked up on 83rd Ave, me and my street brothers, carried lamas

I’m not a poet, I used to be in the streets.

Might catch my old man, I heard he’s in Chicago
I moved to Michigan, might go to Chicago
No more room for beef, but he keep sneak talking
Dressed in blood, he’s at the corner store, eye locking
Feet sprinting, I’m running down hawking
He can go get my half brother, retwist his dreads, with red tip knockers

I’m not a poet, I’m too dark in heart.

Fuck my last name, I don’t care for my family
Weed substitute for love, my ex took me off the pills
So much in love, she still give me money, and pay for my bills
Renegade girl, she used to take me to meet other girls
I don’t do threesomes, so we taking turns
Built up animosity, so we’re having rough sex
Chain on her neck, she’s dog walking, like she’s my pet

I’m not a poet, I can’t lust just 1 girl.

Might make them jealous, my friends know how I am with love
Nothing is better than lust, her legs reaching higher than above
Most of my friends are girls, and I call them my girlfriends
Not like my father, they can all have boyfriends
Lost my virginity to another man’s girlfriend
I remember Neon, she was three years, my friend

I’m not a poet, I’m not true to the meaning.

Double standard, I don’t care about your past
My time is hammered, I know we won’t last
Put me in your script, add me to your cast
Girl so pretty, I move aside, and let her walk past
Single for so long, commitment test, I won’t pass
My pen name’s a mask
I move on too fast
Settle down, I once thought about it
My aquintince fucked my crush before I could
So I stopped thinking about it

I’m not a poet, I keep changing.

Drugs feel better, when they’re legal
I used to sell things that came with a seal
Prescription narcotics, I used to do family deals
No longer interested in the streets, all my friends are in jail
I spent 48 hours, in a cell
First charge I got caught for, my old man sold them a tale
My court papers came to my mama’s house, she opened my mail
Assignment taker in my family, I was the throw away child
Put my regrets in front of me, I’m sending multiple of my family members
To the clouds

I’m not a poet, I’m my own definition
