What if we argued, and I said something that sticks?
What if you wake up, wanting something different?
What if I’m not the same way, as we first met?
What if it’s over, before it starts?

I’m not worried about getting sick, and never waking up
But I’m worried about, breaking promises with you
I’m not worried about other guys catching your eye
But I’m worried about, running you off, in a moment

Does it bring you anxiety and sweat too?
The constant thoughts of another, accepting things, that you already don’t accept
About yourself?
Does it make you shake, procrastinate, and make excuses
Like it does me?
If I left you hanging, for our second date
Would you hold it against me?
