(Poem)Fathers Don’t Pass Up On Their Sons

I act different when mom talks to me
I won’t ever tell her, what you do to me
Knowing everything I say, will get back to you
Crying never worked, why do I find myself
Crying over you

I never knew how J.P felt
Until I got older
I never knew how my brothers felt
Until you stopped dealing with me too
No calls for birthdays or Christmas
No new years hearing from you
You do it like it’s nothing
You treat a handful of your sons, like we’re nothing

When I finally do see you…it’s all for nothing

I act different when mom talks to me
I won’t ever tell her, what you do to me
Knowing everything I say, will get back to you
Crying never worked, why do I find myself
Crying over you

I grew thick skin because of you
Smoking weed to stop my tears
Mom tried, but knowing you, you’ll go more years
Abandoning handfuls of your kids
That’s why I thought about J.P
Linking up with everyone who hates you
I ain’t you
So I won’t hate you
