THIS WEEK FROM SAKARI

Issue #001 | Creator Development & Production Update

Welcome to the first edition of This Week from Sakari, a weekly development report covering the latest progress across my publishing, screenwriting, and creative projects.

Every Thursday, I’ll be sharing a look behind the scenes at what I’ve been working on, the projects moving forward, and what’s coming next.

It’s been a productive week. Let’s get into it.

🎬 SCREENWRITING UPDATE

Four Script Samples Completed

This week, I completed four screenplay samples, each ranging approximately five to nine pages. These samples represent different genres, concepts, and approaches to storytelling.

Here’s a look at what was completed:

  • The Legend of Krampus — A supernatural script sample exploring the legendary Christmas figure.
  • In the Blink of an Eye — A supernatural crime thriller.
  • The Only Necromancer: Chapter 17 — An adaptation of a chapter from my progression-fantasy series into a screenplay scene.
  • Untitled Script Sample — An additional screenplay sample completed during the week.

With four completed samples, I’m continuing to expand my screenwriting portfolio and explore different storytelling formats.

Production Company Submissions

This week, I also began taking the next step toward getting my screenwriting work in front of industry professionals.

A few script submissions were sent to production companies for consideration.

This is an important step in developing my screenwriting career, moving beyond writing for practice and toward getting my work professionally recognized.

📖 PUBLISHING UPDATE

The Only Necromancer — Story Seven Completed

Another major milestone this week was the completion of Story Seven in The Only Necromancer serialized short-story series.

Each installment in the series generally runs around 5,000 words. Story Seven, however, came in closer to 7,000 words due to the amount of story development, action, and events packed into the installment.

The series continues to expand its narrative, with each new installment contributing to the larger progression-fantasy universe.

In addition to its ongoing serialized format, The Only Necromancer is also becoming a source of material for my screenwriting portfolio, as demonstrated by the Chapter 17 screenplay adaptation completed this week.

🔮 WHAT’S NEXT?

Moving From Samples to Full-Length Screenplays

One of the biggest developments this week wasn’t just what I completed, but where I want to take my screenwriting career moving forward.

While screenplay samples are important for demonstrating writing ability, my next objective is to focus on completed, full-length screenplays.

The goal is to develop original scripts that can be submitted to production companies for potential sale or production consideration.

I already have several concepts in mind, with a few scripts currently in the drafting stages.

One particular project has recently caught my attention. I’m currently debating whether the concept would work better as a feature film or as a television series.

That decision has yet to be made, but development is underway.

The focus moving forward is simple: build complete screenplays, develop stronger portfolio material, and continue pursuing opportunities within the screenwriting industry.
