I’ve reached for her wings
A numerous amount of times
They retract until she ascends
She’s beautiful to the air

I wish I knew her triumphs
I wish I knew her downfalls
Banes that cover one side of her face
A mystery that hides

She’s never been caged
So I will have no such thing
Her wings are damp to the occasion
If only she would like
I will invite her in
