(Poem)H.e.r Means Patience

Thank you for having me
We’d touch like none other
Walking along the surface of something
I can’t wait to get there
A mental place, where I haven’t touched you yet
Is romance worth it, if I haven’t touched you yet
Would this be considered patience, if I rubbed arms…legs…and that’s it

I’m zero feet away from you
Though I won’t touch above your ankles
I won’t touch below your belly
I won’t love you…just yet

I’m breathing distance from you
Air too tight between us
Eyes engaged faster than most
I won’t love you…just yet

Eyebrow piercing, let me take it out for you
Belly button piercing, my lips could play with that too
But patience means I love you
And I feel like I love you
So I won’t touch below your neck…

I won’t touch below your back
Being close enough to you
I won’t touch your physical, before your spiritual
I won’t love you…just yet
