Poem: Love Scars

Maybe I’m a heartbreak soldier
Because I’m willing to take an L,
Since it came from you
I was being used
Trying to patch up your wounds
Taking you from a life of being abused
Being with assholes
Is what you’ll continue to choose
I’m not paying you attention anymore
I’ve changed locks, you can keep your love
I know my boys seen you, chilling with that dude in the club
We’ve had sex so what’s next
I can be Petty too, and text my ex
Betrayal is the same as family
Taking on mislead feelings
With agony
Hurt by a plot filled cause
Everytime you said you loved me
It was only to stall
I don’t need you anymore
I’d rather sit at the park
Drinking with the poor
Mixing Sprite with lean
Pretty girls aren’t what they seem
Using Henesy as a remedy
Substituting hard outcomes for memes
Tell you what…
Stay with a lame, I’ll find me a queen

  1. There’s a whole history of hurt here in such a few words. A marvel of concision. Well done.
