An outline that almost seems faded
Know that I’m still there
It’s highly unlikely you’re sleeping alone
That’s why we haven’t spoken
I give you your space
I’ll always do this
For years I’ve shamed my own feelings
I know I don’t exist

In whatever world you’re in, I don’t exist
We’re not listening to the same birds in the morning
When it rains this way, it’s barely cloudy over there
Your way, I’ve only ever heard of
I’ve never actually been to
I’ve never been on that side
Upon years of loving you
I’ve never been…on that side

Her hands should have never left mine
I never got to touch her in that way
He’s alright, he doesn’t miss you
Not like I’ve done, on a digital cycle
I’m not saying a thing
I know you hide all my letters
You hold them the same way I do when I write them
I’m sending these sentences off to you
And if more than one bird could carry this letter
I’d really appreciate it
And if your hair is down the next time you see me
I’ve brought an extra hair tie
Like any other girl, you have no idea
But unlike any other girl, I’m rendering myself to you
At your honest service, just tell me where to meet you
